She became an entrepreneur at 12 and watched her father and many others in her family grow their own businesses. Before founding Redstones, Jody served as Chief Accounting Officer and VP of Re-engineering (concurrently) of Trans World Airlines during a period of active restructuring and operational upheaval, overseeing SEC filings, re-engineering the finance function and the maintenance base to deliver aircraft on time and on budget. She followed that as Head of Internal Audit for GTE Corporation, a Fortune 45 multinational telecom, reporting directly to the Audit Committee of the Board. At GTE Wireless, a $6B+ business unit, she served as Unit CFO and VP Operations — second in command — driving a $1B+ tower sale-leaseback transaction, leading $500M+ in operating initiatives, and leading the unit to hit its financial targets for the first time in seven years. At AOL, she held a non financial role as VP of AOL Mobile tasked with developing a device and service to take wireless data to the consumer market. Earlier in her career, she spent 13 years at KPMG as a leader in the air transportation practice delivering through bankruptcy work, capital raises, M&A activity and complex financing transactions totaling billions of dollars.
She founded Redstones in 2003. Since then she has worked across the full growth spectrum — taking an aircraft tracking company from early stage through sale to a public company, guiding a cybersecurity SaaS company through its Series A, and advising investor-backed startups, private growth companies, and Fortune 100 organizations across technology, creative services, and turnaround situations — as strategic and board advisor, fractional CFO, and executive coach. The common thread: leadership teams who are serious about where they are going and want an advisor who has operated at every stage of the journey, not just one.
Jody is an independent director, financial expert and is experienced with audit committees. She is a CPA and is a Senior Fellow alumna of the Council on Competitiveness. She has been recognized by companies and her clients for her ability to get complex transactions completed.
